The computer equipment at the Faculty consists mainly of personal computers (PCs) with the Windows operating system, and some laboratories also use workstations with the Linux/Unix operating system, mainly for research purposes.
All computers are included in a 10/100/1000 Mbit local Ethernet network which is connected to the University computer network with optical fibers, connected to the backbone of the Academic and Research Network of Slovenia (ARNES) via a node in Maribor, thus providing uninterrupted and direct connection to the Internet and the world.
