The computer equipment at the Faculty consists mainly of personal computers (PCs) with the Windows operating system, and some laboratories also use workstations with the Linux/Unix operating system, mainly for research purposes.

All computers are included in a 10/100/1000 Mbit local Ethernet network which is connected to the University computer network with optical fibres, and the latter is connected to the backbone of the Academic and Research Network of Slovenia (ARNES) via a node in Maribor, providing uninterrupted and direct connection to the Internet and thus the global world.
