Equipment for bleaching, dyeing and finishing

Several devices are available for bleaching, dyeing and advanced functional finishing of different types and forms of textile materials.

  • Dyeing device Turby type «T» (Mathis) - magnetic stirrer dyeing system working on the winding/package beam principle. It enables high-temperature dyeing (up to 135 °C) with precise temperature and time regulation, as well as the application of an ultrasound probe, and simultaneous measurement of pH and absorbance using an UV/Vis spectrophotometer Cary 50. It has 12 beakers/colouring places (300 mL, liquor ratio 1:5 and higher). Dyeing principle: outside - inside.

                  

  • Dyeing device Jet type «JFL» (Mathis) - multiple use HT dyeing apparatus
  • Dyeing device Ahiba 1000 - magnetic stirrer dyeing system working on the winding/package beam principle (up to 140 °C). It has 6 beakers (700 mL). 
  • Dyeing device Colorstar Junior (Mathis)
  • Dyeing device Jigger type «WJ» (Mathis) - batch dyeing, roller width of 500 mm, material speed of 0.5 - 10 rpm
  • Dyeing device Labomat type «BFA» (Mathis) - beaker dyeing (up to 140 °C), 12 beakers (300 and 500 mL), 5 - 65 rpm reversing

  • UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer Lambda 900 (Perkin Elmer) - is applicable for measuring the reflectance, transmission, or absorbance of solid samples. Technical characteristics: dual-beam measurement principle, spectral range of 175-3300 nm, light source tungsten-halogen and deuterium lamps, sample size of 200 x 220 x 300 mm (LHD), working temperature of 10-35° C, relative humidity of 10-70%.
  • UV-VIS SF 600 Plus spectrophotometer (Datacolor) - is applicable for measuring the reflectance of solid samples, determining colour values and colour differences according to CIEL*a*b*, CMC(l:c), Hunter L*a*b*, ANLAB 40 and determining whiteness according to CIE, Ganz-Griesser, Harrison, Hunter, Berger. Technical characteristics: the spectral range of 400-700 nm, dual-beam measuring principle, measuring geometry of d/10°, and the possibility of measuring with three different measuring apertures.
  • Computer-supported microplate reader Infinite M200 (Tecan) - is applicable for measuring the absorbance (230 – 1000 nm) and fluorescence (280 – 850 nm; selection), plus spectral scanning (excitation and emission). Top or bottom readings.
  • UV/Vis spectrophotometer Cary 50 (Varian) – is applicable for measuring the absorbance (190 - 1100 nm). The possibility of online measuring of the absorbance during dyeing on the Turby T dyeing device. The spectrophotometer is fitted with an integrating sphere accessory and a fabric holder accessory for the determination of the ultraviolet protective factor (UPF) of fabrics according to three standards.
  • Spectrum 3 FT-IR spectrophotometer (Perkin Elmer) - it is a 3-range MIR/NIR/FIR spectrophotometer (wavelength range from 14,700 up to 350 cm-1) with a Golden Gate ATR attachment GladiATR (PIKE technologies) with an AUTOIMAGE microscope (Spotlight 200i).

  • HPLC 1200 Series (Agilent Technologies) - is a high-performance liquid chromatography system with Agilent ChemStation software. It is applicable for the qualitative and quantitative identification of water-soluble or organo-soluble molecules (e.g., polysaccharides, proteins, amino acids, etc.), using exclusion (SEC), affinity (AC) or ion-exchange (IEC) methods.
  • PERME OX2/230 - OTR (Labtehnik instruments) - is a device for measuring the oxygen permeability with WinPerme OX2/230 W3/330 software. It is suitable for measuring the oxygen permeability of various materials (i.e., plastic films, solar and laminated materials, aluminium foils as well as bottles, bags, and glasses made of plastic, rubber, paper, glass and metal).
  • Potentiostat/Galvanostat Autolab PGSTAT101 (Methrom) - combined with the powerful NOVA software, is used for most standard electrochemical techniques.
  • G1600 3D Capillary Electrophoresis (Agilent Technologies) - high-efficiency resolution of a sample (1 - 2 mL) by mass and charge of molecules, UV/Vis diode-array detector (190-600 nm), controlled temperature: 5-40 °C, operation window: voltage (0-30 kV), current (0-300 µA) or power (0-6 W), automated fraction collector
